Mentor Training

 'Mentor Day', a one day training event required by all mentors,  is scheduled for the July Class 2-2008 as follows: 

• Friday- August 8, 2008
• Saturday- August 9, 2008
• Friday- August 22, 2008
• Saturday- August 23, 2008
• Friday- September 12, 2008
• Saturday- September 13, 2008

This class will answer many of your questions about mentoring and the Mountaineer ChalleNGe Academy.  This day begins the 'formal' relationship between you and your Cadet. 

All classes will be held at Camp Dawson in Kingwood and will run from 9:30-2:30.  A Mentor packet with training information will be mailed to all applicants. Please call 1-800-529-7700 to reserve your seat for one of the training sessions.

Mentor Day is more than a requirement. It is a day the Cadets look forward to, and it gives them an opportunity to visit with someone from home.  It helps them start focusing on life after ChalleNGe.
