Activities

The cadets' training schedule is very intense. Cadets are kept active and engaged in academics, counseling, skills training, and volunteer service. The Core Components weave through every experience and lesson. Weekends include major voluntary service activities and provide some relaxation and events that reward those cadets who have met the standards for each week.

pushThe daily schedule structures the cadets' time essentially 24/7. The schedule insures an appropriate supervised mix of routine activities (maintain personal areas/clothing/bedding/common areas, hygiene and meals) in addition to academic time, homework preparation, life coping lessons, and physical fitness. Competitive sports, voluntary service and incentive reward events are also included in the weekly activities. For a look at a typical schedule, click here: Seaborne ChalleNGe Daily Activities *

Additional activities may include extracurricular activities such as intramural sports, "Reward" events earned through weekly evaluations, and Student Government.

TXDailyAc1Elected and Appointed Student Government:

Food Committee. Appointed by Student Council members to monitor and make suggestions about meal menus.

Activities Committee. Appointed by Student Council members to organize activities and intramural tournaments, etc.

Yearbook Committee. Appointed by Student Council members to create the class yearbook.

Prom Committee. Appointed by Student Council members to organize and decorate the class prom.
