The World's Best 10K
The World's Best 10K race originated as a celebration of the Teodoro Moscoso Bridge's fourth anniversary, which began operations on february 23, 1994. From the beginning, the idea was to make an outstanding race. To achieve this objective, everybody was invited to be part of this project: businesspersons, the Goverment, the community, the press and people from the sports world. The main idea was to thank the community for all the support they gave the Bridge in those first four years of operation.
The World's Best 10K includes 10K race, sports competitions, and recreational activities celebrated during the entire weekend. Some of the activities are the Duathlon, the Fitness Festival, the mini race for children and the San Juan Sports Festival.
The World's Best 10K is certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), the Association of International Marathon and Road Races (AIMS) and the Puerto Rico Athletics Commitee. The World's Best 10K is also a member of the Professional Road Running Organization, which groups five of the most important road races in the United States.
