Pre-Challenge Stories
Day One
We did it! My son got in the program and we made it to drop off day, wow, that was a big accomplishment. I do not know about the rest of families, but as for our family this was an emotional journey. We did not get much sleep last night or the night before, we continue to pray for him and write him, giving him all the strength we can to get him through Pre-Challenge.
Our family is trying to take this one step at a time, acceptance to the program, getting him to the program and now getting him through Pre-Challenge. I know that July 31st is going to be a very difficult day for all of us, but it will also be a day we can be so proud of our children.
My family is not just praying daily for our son to make it through this program, but for the Staff, the Parents and the other Cadets who over the next months, will become my sons extended family.
As loved ones and families, lets lean on each other to help our children succeed. If anyone would like to try and pull a July 2005 to December 2005 support/contact group together let me know.
