Hi everyone,

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that Micahel is doing wonderfully. He is now going to Santa Fe Community College and loving it. He is taking 2 classes, one in math and the other Sociology, marriage and families is the Sociology class. He's doing so good and I wanted to let all of you know. Michael going to the Florida Youth ChalleNGe Academy was the best thing he ever did for himself. He just turned 17 on the 18th. He's met a lot of people and has filled in an application to do volunteer work at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. You helped Michael enormously and I could never thank you enough. You gave him structure and the discipline he craved. He's not out of the woods yet but is heading in the right direction.

When Micahel came home he had a drug court hearing. The State was leaning towards putting him on a six month probation. The drug court counseler called me a week before the hearing and told me that. When we went to court Bill, the counseler, stood up and announced Michael's acheivements from the Academy and said he was enrolled in Santa Fe. The State said nothing . The Judge stood up with Michael's drug court graduation certificate, came down, shook his hand, looked at me and said you must be proud. I said,"VERY." She gave him the certificate and said, Good luck. We were so happy when we left. We got downstairs, looked at each other and Michael said, "What about the probation?" I said they must have thought you accomplished a lot and didn't think you needed it. Again we were thrilled, to say the least. It amazes me to see where he was and how far he has come. You have, by far, out done yourselves and I'm sure will continue to do so with other young men and women. His father would be proud and I am just bursting with pride. He keeps in touch with his mentor as required and is still excelling in every aspect.

Thank you for your belief in him and all of the teens you have helped and continue to help. It's a relief to know there is someone out there who really cares about their future and the future of their world.

My heart and gratitude go out to you and the staff at FLYCA and I will never forget what you did for my son.

 All my best,

 Patricia A. Frazier
