How can I support the Academy?
The best way to help the academy is to write your local political figures and tell them you support what the academy does. You may also volunteer to mentor a child. Mentoring is the presence of a caring responsible adult who, along with the guardian or parent, provides support, motivation, guidance, advice and friendship in order to help a young person succeed. To a child mentoring means to have a responsible, caring role model and friend to look up to. This role model can help them achieve their goals in life. Other ways to support the academy include supporting the Florida Youth ChalleNGe Foundation.
The Florida Youth ChalleNGe Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that supports the Florida Youth ChalleNGe by providing financial support for scholarships, awards, and other extra-curricular cadet related expenses supporting Cadets. Funds provided by the Foundation allow our cadets to participate in service to the community events such as the March of Dimes - March for Babies and allow for recurring class activities such as the prom, field trips, and the academy graduation trip. Through the generosity of contributors, the quality of life for the Cadets is improved. As a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) entity, all donations are tax deductible. Checks or money orders (do not send cash) for those desiring to support the Foundation should be made payable to the Florida Youth ChalleNGe Foundation, and can be mailed to:
