AwardsThe cadets at WYCP work very hard throughout each class. Several awards are presented to the cadets for outstanding achievement . These include academic achievement awards, core component awards, physical fitness awards and scholarships for college. To see a list of awards by class click on the class below. Class 7 Activities and TrainingThe cadets' training schedule is very intense. Cadets are kept active and engaged in academics, counseling, skills training, and volunteer service. The Core Components weave through every experience and lesson. Weekends include major voluntary service activities and provide some relaxation and events that reward those students who have met the standards for each week. PhasesThe Wyoming Youth Challenge Program is 17 months long and consists of three phases – Pre-Challenge Phase, Residential (Challenge) Phase, and the Post-Residential phase. The Pre-Challenge Phase, also known as the "Hard Core" Phase, is the first two weeks of the program and the most intense portion of the program. Once Candidates graduate from the Pre-Challenge Phase, they become Cadets and begin the Challenge Phase which CurriculumAcademic Curriculum

Much of the skill development process is based on deliberate experiential learning situations created by the staff.
