Program Staff

The staff of Texas ChalleNGe Academy are dedicated to helping youth set and achieve new and better goals for themselves and their families.

Michael Weir, Director - Texas ChalleNGe Academy, formerly Seaborne ChalleNGe Corps, has been with the program since 1997 also serving as a Team Leader, Program Coordinator and Deputy Director.  Retired from 26 years in the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Weir's tours of duty included: Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor, Battalion Drill Master, Regimental Drill Master, Rifle Company First Sergeant, Medical Battalion First Sergeant and Anti-Tank TOW Company First Sergeant.  Mr. Weir holds a BS in Behavioral Science from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. When not working Mr. Weir plays golf as often as possible.
