My Son is in the next class in Jan of "09"!!!

I was so excited to find out that my son has been accepted for the next class in Jan. "09"!!  He is really looking forward to it too and after looking at this site for the past year, hopefully I am prepared to leave him there! He is a great kid, just needs the structure and needs to learn to respect himself and learn what a great person he really is! He is excited and really hopes to get his GED while he is there so he can enlist in the Army after he turns 17, which is just two weeks after graduation in June!  I think this will be the best experience for him and I know when he completes the program, he will be able to feel pride in himself and that is what he needs to know, to be proud of himself!  I love reading past and present parents comments it gives me hope and prepares me for the things my cadet will be doing.  Wooohoooo!!!   Thanks in advance Thunderbird!!!

Just wanted to send my

Just wanted to send my congrats to you and your family! Being accepted into TYA is an honor.  Your child will be filled with more pride than he can image when he graduates.  The secret to success at TYA is very simple - keep your eyes forward and your mouth shut!  LOL  Don't take things personal and know that the staff at TYA is here to help and guide.

We are all excited and looking forward to the new class coming in.  It is an amazing thing that we are a part of - seeing a young person that has lost their way step onto the road to success is what keeps us striving.  I can't say enough about this program or how many lives I have seen changed.  I do know that it is a blessing for me to be a small part of what will take place in your son's life at TYA.

See you soon.  TYA all the way!

My son is in TYA.  We get

My son is in TYA.  We get the phone call today that he will move on to be a cadet.  I can not tell you how thankful I am that there is a program like this available.  I am proud of him for taking such a huge step for himself.  I miss him terribly but, I know this is the best thing he can do for himself. It is an honor to have my son accepted in this program.  I look forward to every letter he sends and he is getting excited about things that are upcoming.  There is already a change in him.  He is looking forward to new challenges.  Thank you again TYA.  What a blessing.
