Optional Class Expenses

Cadets and their families will have the oppurtunity to purchase class memorabilia such as:

Brochures and orders forms will be distributed at Open House check out.  For your convenience, representatives from each vendor will be on grounds upon your return from pass to collect orders.  Parents/guardians will be responsible for placing orders. 

Please do not send orders/payments with cadets.


Classbook Sponsorship - (918) 824-4887

The TYA Education Dept with the help of some cadets publish a classbook for each class.  The publication costs of the classbook are met primarily by individual donations from family and friends.  If we receive enough sponsorships then each cadet will receive a complimentary book before graduation. You can sponsor a page and have a personalized message (like an ad space) included in the classbook.

Sponsorship includes:

  • A personalized message to your cadet
     
  • Up to 2 photos of cadet as a baby or child under five years old (3x4 inches or less in size)

Extra books can be pre-ordered with a donation of $15.00 each by the order deadline.  Use the order form included on this page.  Additional classbooks will also be available at graduation for $20.00.

Artcarved® Class Rings is the vendor for TYA.  Mr. & Mrs. Summy have been the local representative for TYA since 1993 and they show their support by offering special priced rings for TYA cadets only.

There are 4 male/female style rings offered at the special price of $145 each which includes tax and shipping charges.  This special price is for Siladium (looks like silver) metal only. 

Standard items for all TYA rings ordered:

  • Thunderbird logo set in stone
  • Thunderbird logo on one side/activity of choice on other side
  • Graduation year & name
  • Red/yellow color shield (applicable by style)

You have the option to order other styles and/or metals at regular listed prices if you so choose. Regular ring prices start upwards from $200 plus tax and shipping charges.

An $85 non-refundable deposit* is required to activate all orders and will be applied to the total cost of your ring.  Orders will not be placed without the deposit.  You may pay the full deposit up front, or pay $50 on 8 Sep 09 with your ring order, then the remaining $35 by 16 Oct 09.  If the full deposit is not received by the final deadline, then the representatives can NOT guarantee the ring will be received before graduation.  Payment options on the remaining balance are flexible but the ring balance must be paid in full by one month before graduation (16-Oct) to ensure that your cadet will be able to proudly wear his/her ring at the graduation ceremony.

*In such case that your cadet leaves the program without graduating, only monies paid over and above the $85 non-refundable deposit will be refunded.

Don Crane of Don's Photography has been taking our class pictures since about 1995.  Mr. Crane is proud to say that his son is a TYA graduate.  He shows his support of the program by offering very economically priced packages starting at $25.  Many extras are available for customizing packages to fit your budget.  This will be your only opportunity for a professional Academy Cadet portrait.

Each portrait package includes:

  • 1 Company group photo
  • 1 Platoon group photo
  • Various quantities of cadet portrait based on package

All orders/payments should be sent directly to Don's Photography.

Picture Day* is usually about week 10 to 13 time frame.  Orders are delivered to TYA for distribution directly to cadets the day before graduation.  If you would like to order extra pictures to include in graduation announcements, please order those directly from the Motophoto website.

*Please note that if your cadet leaves the program after the pictures are taken, only 50% of monies paid will be refunded.

Graduation Photo

Mr. Crane has graciously agreed to offer a graduation photo of each cadet donating 50% of the proceeds to TYA in support of unfunded activities for future cadets.  The pictures will only be available to order after graduation from the Motophoto website.  More information will be provided at graduation.
