Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED – Degree not required. Military background is preferred, but not necessary.
Job Description: Under administrative supervision monitors and supervises 35 to 45 youth (ages 16 to 19); maintains .accountability of assigned platoon at all times; maintains discipline, security, and safety within a quasi-military atmosphere; develops a team-oriented attitude in the cadets; is a mentor/role model for assigned cadets during the residential phase of the program; conducts first line counseling and problem solving for cadets; primary instructor in Drill and Ceremony (D&C) and group living skills; directs cadet physical training; maintains supporting documentation and evaluations for those assigned cadets. Performs additional tasks as required/assigned.
Special Requirements: Willingness to work rotating shifts, evening, weekend and holiday work; requires long periods of standing and walking indoors & outdoors throughout the day; job requires working in conditions of both high and low temperatures; possession of or willingness to obtain a CDL; travel may be required at the expense of the employee to be reimbursed within 45 days of claim forms.
