Mentor FAQ
Why do cadets have to have a Mentor?
A very important part of ChalleNGe is the Post-Residential Phase. After our cadets graduate, we stay in touch with them for 1 year to help them adjust. Your role as a Mentor is a very important part of this process; you will meet with your cadet regularly to help, lead, guide, and direct him/her on the path to success!
Mentor Reports
Mentor Monthly Reports are due by the 5th of the month. During one of your face-to-face meetings each month, please review the Post-Residential Action Plan. Is your cadet on track? Have plans changed? Please indicate in the Remarks section. Information give here reflects current involvement, not what they intend to do several months from now.

"We can help a person to be himself by our own willingness to steep ourselves temporarily in his world, in his private feelings and experiences. By our affirmation of the person as he is, we give him support and strength to take on the next step in his own growth." - Clark Moustakas
