Through training, discipline, structure, and mentoring, the New Mexico Youth ChalleNGe Academy provides the education, physical fitness and life coping skills to "at risk" youth so they may become contributing members of society.

Mentor Training
All onsite training
sessions for Cycle 15 Mentors have been completed.  If you were unable to attend, a training packet has been mailed to you.  Please complete all required documents as instructed and mail back to NMYCA as soon as possible at:

Mentor Visits
As a mentor, we encourage you to visit your cadet while he/she is attending the Academy!  Mentor visits are a great motivation for cadets and can be requested by the Mentor by contacting the Mentor Coordinator by email.  

Mentor Visit Rules:
*can only be requested AFTER the Mentor has been trained
*can only occur on weekends
*must be requested at least 4 days in advance

*are only authorized every other weekend
