Mentor Training on the Horizon!

Mentor Training for Class 19 is scheduled for Saturday, September 13th and Saturday, September 20, 2008.  Our Mentors are volunteers and travel sometimes more then ten (10) hours one way to attend this training and have a formal Match Ceremony with their Cadet.  These are wonderful people who truly care about the youth in our nation and the future of our world.  If given the opportunity, please be sure to thank them for their commitment and congratulate them on their dedication.

Projects Our Cadets Do

The Cadets from the Montana Youth ChalleNGe Program are able to participate in and help with Service to the Community projects ranging from tutoring at the elementary school to highway clean-up. Some of their favorite projects and of course most enjoyable would be:

Birch Creek a Success

Our Cadets were able to travel to the mountains and enjoy almost a full week at the Birch Creek Center.  They enjoyed many outdoor activities including a compass navigation course, mountain hikes, "logging", Low Ropes Course, mountain run/race, and much more!  It is one of the favorite times of the cycle, and we just barely missed the snow falling this time.  It was beautiful and they have lot's of memories to share with you.  It is also the time of cycle that they're fed the best, and have the best tasting food!  Mmmmm.....mmmm....

Bulletin Board

Feel free to post your comments and questions on the Bulletin Board. Many parents and family members find the Bulletin Board a convenient way to discuss their experiences and to seek and offer support. Please note, the Cadets do NOT have access to the Bulletin Board and therefore will not have the opportunity to read any postings.  To contact a staff member see the Program Staff page for phone numbers or call the toll free number, 1-877-FOR-MYCP.
