The Montana Youth ChalleNGe Program assists at-risk Montana youth in developing skills and abilities necessary to become productive citizens through focusing upon the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the youth within a highly structured environment.

Congratulations to The Montana Youth ChalleNGe Program for being the recipient of the 2005 USO AWARD for Health & Hygiene!!

The Montana Youth ChalleNGe Program was also the recipient of the 2004 USO AWARD for Physical Fitness.

During the Residential Phase of MYCP each Cadet has the opportunity for multiple awards, which I've listed below.

Curriculum

Academic Curriculum

The Montana Youth ChalleNGe Program (MYCP) was officially accredited by the North West Association of Accredited Schools in June 2007 as a special purpose school.  Accreditation of the program wil allow for transfer of academic credit earned at  MYCP to a school that the student may be attending following graduation from ChalleNGe.

There are eight core components of the Montana Youth ChalleNGe Program. Cadets must successfully complete all eight components to graduate from the Program. The core components are designed to educate and produce youth that will become productive members of the community upon graduation.

About us

The Montana Youth ChalleNGe Program (MYCP) opened its doors September 1, 1999. We are currently in our nineteenth class, and commencement is scheduled for December 20, 2008!   We now have 1,280 MYCP graduates to date and are looking foward to many many more walking across that stage!!

MYCP is sponsored by the National Guard and the State of Montana. That is why there is no cost to you.
