The mission of the Mississippi ChalleNGe Academy is to improve the life-coping skills and employment potential of high school dropouts so that they may become productive members of their communities and society in general.

Egligibility

The basic eligibility qualifications for acceptance into the program are: 

    1.  16-19 years of age and enter the program prior to their 20th birthday
    2.  A high school dropout/expellee
    3.  Citizen or legal resident of the United States and Mississippi resident
    4.  Unemployed
    5.  Not currently on parole or probation for anything other than juvenile status offenses.  Not serving time or awaiting sentencing, not under indictment or charged and not convicted of a felony or capital offense.
    6.  Free of illegal drugs in order to enter the residential phase

A mandatory drug screening will be conducted at the end of the Pre-ChalleNGe Phase.  Applicants may NOT proceed to the Residential ChalleNGe Phase if they test positive for the presence of illegal drugs.
