The Hoosier Youth ChalleNGe Academy intervenes in the lives of at-risk youth by training, mentoring, and developing these individuals into responsible and productive citizens while in a controlled, quasi-military, residential setting, followed by a post-residential phase.

Eligibility

Participants must be:

  • A Volunteer
  • 16 - 18 years old
  • A high school dropout or expellee prior to class start date
  • A citizen or legal resident of the U.S. and the state of Indiana
  • Unemployed
  • Drug Free
  • Not on parole or probation, not currently indicted or charged, and free of any felony convictions or capital offenses
  • Physically and mentally capable of completing the program with reasonable accommodation for physical or other handicaps
