Tristan Gardner

Hey all...My name is Tristan A. Gardner, I graduated from class 11 about 2 years ago. Going to GYA was the best decision i have ever made, it changed my whole outlook on my future. Before i joined i was a high school dropout wanting to join the military but having no chance at it without my diploma or my GED, so I attended GYA to get my GED. It was hard at first, when i started the program i weighed around 280 lbs, by the 2-3rd month i lost over 100 lbs. I found out what i wanted to do as a career through the program, (Nurse) so i joined the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman to get training towards medical. I am almost an E-3 and getting deployed to Iraq here in February. I attached to 1st MLG which is a Marine unit.
I plan on coming back to visit here before i go over, if not, then when i get back. I will be going back to my old high school when i take leave here in a few weeks to tell my ex-teachers and students there about the youth programs all over the US, and hopefully it will help out some people the way it did for me!

Thank you sooooo much to the staff of GYA for helping me to find my path towards my new career! ill never forget everything you all taught me there.....My cell Number is 360-920-0034 and my Email is...The6nseals@yahoo.com if anyone wants to contact me and share some stories or something well take care all and God bless

HA Gardner, Tristan.
