The Academy has received numerous national and state recognition for its varied programs - service to the community, mentorship (the 2nd largest in the State), drug & alcohol abuse prevention, and academic excellence and innovative job skills training. 

The Academy is recognized by the Governor and State leadership as the State's premier secondary training school and has the distinction of winning First Place in the annual GCI Academic Decathlon, Small Schools Division Championship in 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
